Live Unleashed – Hyundai X Power Drift

Man Vs Machine in the Indian Himalayas! This time, my trusty mountain bike Vs the New Hyundai Creta NLine. And to document all this action – the raddest automotive content makers of India, Power Drift from Pune City.

While team Power Drift and I were on the planning desk, we were positive about filming this project in Arunachal Pradesh. Having been there recently, I suggested Tawang as our base for all the action. But due to time and logistical constraints, our plans drifted off to Himachal Pradesh.

High altitude trails of Himachal are well known amongst mountain bikers in India. But to hunt spots where we could film the Hyundai Creta NLine and me roosting each other, we narrowed in on Tirthan Valley, our base for the next few days.

Our trail hunting led us to snow capped peaks, exposed cliff edge trails, villages, surreal forest all the way to the valley’s river base.

Building the prime jump feature of this project was quicker than we thought. Having a strong production team and swift craftsmen on sight, building the ladder bridge road gap was a breeze. Along with a mint landing, cleared in a minute, our session kicked off.

A huge shout out to the Power Drift and Hyundai team for creating this superb video project and inviting me onboard. This has been a memorable experience meeting old friends and making new.

With 2AM call times and a full day of riding, jumping, drifting, the “Live Unleashed” video project with Power Drift was a supreme experience! After treading some unridden slopes in Himachal it’s now time to head to Panchkula, Haryana for the Indian National MTB Championships 2024.
